I'm also having problems with updating my ck3100. I have tried updating the software from 4.17b to 4.23 with the procedure I found on the website (I’m running Vista and I’m using a Toshiba Bluetooth adapter) and I can connect to the com.
However when it is doing the final step (software update) the Parrot reboots and comes back in factory settings, so I have to start all over again (pairing etc). I’ve tried this many times, with different com. Port settings, after repowering the Parrot, redownloading the software file etc but without any luck. Hi all, I am experiencing a very similar problem with the CK3100 with a new HTC Desire where I need to update to the latest version to allow my new phone to connect. I can discover my Parrot CK3100 through the update software but when going to update it fails on the first section 'Bluetooth Connection'.

This is strange because I have actually updated the device before using the same laptop & bluetooth dongle and had no problems but now trying to update it to 4.23 I can't get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try?

I have tried several times and have also tried different computers and blutooth dongles but still have had no luck. If anyone could help then I would really appreciate it. Recently got the CK3100 & some of its behavior didn’t make sense. I decided to update to latest version first to see if it will rectify these.
First problem - I don’t know what port settings to use, how do I figure this out & should I change anything on the CK3100 besides putting it in Software Update mode? I've tried various ports, it gives some warning message – but then do go to the next step of update process. Then the next error message I get in the update screen - it fails authentication (first step in tool) & I have no idea why Please help?
