Nonetheless, I confront issues every single time I use this app. Whether it’s that after hitting the WATCH button I need to restart the app 90% of the time because it froze or showed an error message, or the download function doesn’t work, or the layout changes dramatically with updates and I have to search for stuff I had already learned, or the image jumps 5 or 6 seconds ahead and I have to rewind throughout a recorded show,.

I rate this 3star because I like this idea and it is better than not being able to watch my programs, but from time to time, it get so frustrating that I decide to just close the app and wait until I get home -which defeats the purpose of the app altogether. And one of my favorite feature is favoriting channels or shows makes it easy to see what is on. However, as of this review, Dish Anywhere 7.7.3 does not work with iOS 11.2.1.

I have tried this on several different devices. Not just mine, and I have tried on many different networks. It simply loads and crashes within seconds. This has been happening over more than one update on both IOS and Dish Anywhere updates. Really miss using this app. By BeachyNC I would give this a 5 for my iPad, iPod, husband's computer and his tablet. All work perfectly.

But I recently bought a Fire 10, thinking I would use that for tv watching and book reading, and it is hopeless on the Fire. Works for about a minute and then the 'circle of doom' appears. My internet speeds, both uploading and downloading, are fine. Live or recorded TV works on every other device in the house, but only 'On Demand' works on the Fire.

So - 5 for the Apple products, 1 for Amazon's, is an average of 3. I love it when it works.

Pity the app developer for Dish Anywhere on the Fire hasn't worked out whatever the problem is yet.
